Sensory play

Our littlest children really enjoyed their topic on sensory play this month.  We converted our quiet room into a sensory space – with fibre optic lights, flashing torches, different textured cushions, sensory balls, treasure bags and music.  In our creative area the children made textured paint and enjoyed playing with lots of different textures such as shaving foam, spaghetti, jelly and ice.  We played with scented play-dough, painted on transparent easels and painted our hands and feet too!  We also hide some real fruit and vegetables in our home corner for the children to find.  Here are a few pictures of what we got up to:
